Used / ex Demo kayaks
A word of caution when it comes to
second-hand sea kayaks.
When you buy a second hand sea kayak make sure you ask "How come it is
for sale?"
If it is no longer wanted or not being used you may well pick up a bargain.
If it is because it is damaged and leaks or is about to break
apart, then please be careful. Make sure you know how to repair it
or are prepared to pay for the repairs. (Often the discount can be
roughly the cost of the repairs.) There are guidelines for
seaworthy sea kayaks and now rules for equipment to be carried. Out on the ocean,
kilometres from land (and swimming), is not the
time to reconsider the "bargain" price you paid of an
unseaworthy sea kayak.

Composite construction (Fibreglass, Kevlar)
A number of composite sea kayaks, all sea worthy, some with electrical
pumps in working order. All have been thoroughly maintained.
That is cleaned of all sand and mud, checked for any damage and repaired
promptly if needed.
All are seaworthy craft and worthy of inspection.

The Meridian "Cygnet" is a very stable
sea kayak with an almost flat bottom shape under the paddler.
Combined with a narrow beam or width (57 cm), this
gives excellent initial stability while at the same time allowing the
kayak to be easily "edged".

fast, responsive kayak for paddlers of all skill levels. Its high bow
