At Meridian Kayak we strive to provide products and services that are fit for the purpose set out on the website information and sales pages. We ensure they are of the highest standard in order to maintain guarantee your complete satisfaction guaranteed. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase or our service, you can return the product for a refund within 30 days of making a purchase. We offer refunds, repairs and replacements in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law and on the terms set out in this Policy
Before making a purchase, please read this Policy. You will want to understand your rights and what you can expect from us if you are not satisfied with your order.
When you make a claim for a refund, we will be naturally looking for information from you that will lead us to improve the product, amend our product information or deliver an improved customer experience.
Our guarantee has two functions:

- to maintain the loyalty and continued satisfaction of our customers.

Change of Mind. or simply wrong colour/ size selected.
If you have received the product but you simply change your mind or have selected the wrong product, colour or size then our guarantee of satisfaction applies.
Other Problems with the Product.
Where the products or services are ;
- Not Fit for the Purpose as described in the website material.
- Has defects which render the product unusable or unsafe.
Customers are entitled to a full refund or exchange of the product under Australian Consumer Law.. We wholeheartedly support that with free shipping of the returned product.
Products Damaged During Delivery
When the product you ordered has been damaged during delivery our Guarantee of Satisfaction applies. You are entitled to have the product Repaired or Replaced with an equivalent product or be refunded the shipped price:

Contact us with 30 days of receipt of items via our Return Request Form checking the “Reason for Return/ Refund” request box.
Also please include any other relevant information to support your claim if necessary. This will greatly assist in ensuring our satisfaction guaranteed policy is maintained.
A Return Authorisation will be emailed along with instructions for returning the item(s).
Refunds will be processed within 5 days of receiving the returned item. Any refunds will be issued to the original payment method. That is Credit/ Debit Card, Bank a/c, etc.
Provided that returned items are complete with original packaging you are entitled to a refund. Also tags and labels must be intact and in the same condition as received.
In the case of services, the services have not already been performed
Any damaged product must be returned in the condition in which it was received. Along with any packaging and other items which you received with the damaged product.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
Exceptions
Sea kayaks, We may refuse to provide a “Change of Mind” refund for bespoke kayaks (where a surcharge has been paid for personalised or individualistic artwork or design) .
Multi item Packages Individual items purchased as a “Package item ” are not available for refund. Only the Package is.
We may refuse to provide a repair, replacement or refund for a product or service purchased by you if you;
- Misused the said product in a way which caused the problem.
- Knew or were made aware of the problem(s) with product or service before you purchased it.
- Asked for a service to be done in a certain manner, or you asked for alterations to a product, against our advice, or you were unclear about what you wanted.
- Any other exceptions that apply under Australian Consumer Law
Shipping Costs
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item unless the return is due to a mistake on our part. Such as wrong item, defective item,
If a product you have purchased fails to meet any of the Australian Consumer Law guarantees we will pay any cost of shipping the product back to us as well as any cost of shipping any replacement or repaired product to you.
When returning more expensive items, consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We can’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
